this blog began as a way for my family's extended family to check in on us, and most notably, our children, since visits are so few and far between and the kids! they grow so fast.

amazingly, the majority of our family doesn't check in on us so much. hmmm. but the ones who do are the best! (hi penny! hi zabby!) i thank them, and everyone else, who visits here.
